Trauma Counselling
Trauma-informed, faith-sensitive counselling for Muslim women healing from difficult and painful experiences.
Trauma can stay with us long after an experience has passed, in our bodies, our relationships and our sense of safety. You might feel anxious, easily startled, withdrawn, or caught in memories you’d rather forget.
Healing is possible. Trauma counselling moves at your pace, never pushing you to share more than you’re ready to. Together we create safety first, then gently work towards relief and recovery.
How counselling can help
What working together looks like
Safety and stabilisation
We first build coping resources and a sense of safety before approaching any difficult material.
Gentle processing
At your pace, we help painful experiences feel less raw and intrusive, with care and respect.
Reclaiming strength
You rebuild trust, confidence and a renewed connection to yourself and your faith.
Trauma: common questions
No. You are always in control of what and how much you share. Effective trauma work does not require re-traumatising you.
